We're dedicated to supporting both healthcare providers and families in enhancing well-being through the nourishing potential of plant-centric diets.

Allan Kornberg, M.D., M.B.A., FAAP

Medical Director

 

Dr. Allan is the founder of Nutrition for Families and a pediatrician. He has practiced in primary care and emergency medicine and served as Vice-Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Buffalo and as Chief of Emergency Medicine and General Pediatrics. He was an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at UB and an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Brown University. Dr. Kornberg has also held numerous leadership positions, including the Chief Medical Officer of the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality. ​

 

He received his B.S. from MIT in Biology, M.D. from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai, and M.B.A. from the University of Rochester.  He was resident and chief resident in Pediatrics at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine.

Tami Turner, RD, Ph.D

Nutrition Advisor

Tami Turner, Ph.D., RD, served as the Nutrition Director during the NFF program's development, where she was the program lead, principal scientist, and primary content developer. Dr. Turner received her Ph.D. in Nutritional Biology from the University of California, Davis, and conducted postdoctoral research in nutrition and behavior related to obesity and chronic diseases at the University of Arizona. She is also a registered dietitian and military veteran with experience in clinical settings and private practice.

Audrey Lawson-Sanchez

Audrey is the founder and Executive Director of Balanced. Balanced is a leading voice in the fight for a healthier food system, with its vast network of advocates championing better food environments in schools, hospitals, universities, offices, and other critical community institutions.
